CTB Lab 01 Aveiro
CTB-Network multiplier event in Aveiro, Portugal (08-15th of May 2018), gathering members of the CTB Network, proactive neighbors, university students and actors from the local cultural sector.
During the CTB-Network multiplier event, for the first time we tried out the format CTB Lab, which consisted of three praxis-oriented workshops with local communities. CTB Lab in Aveiro was gathering members of the CTB Network, proactive neighbors, university students and actors from the local cultural sector. This week-long event looked into site-specific challenges such as lack of public infrastructure, car-driven mobility, touristification and rather chaotic urban regeneration. Our trans-disciplinary approach created new alliances between local actors and authorities, got some media attention and opened-up discussion about possible financial models for the maintenance of the projects based on civic-public partnership.
One of them, so called Void, became a central point of the workshop with the neighbors and university students, hosting the final open-air community dinner.
